She is wearing a red robe and a crown. We can see a purple veil between the pillars behind the woman. The numerical value for this card is twelve. It is predominated by Libra. The Hanged Man as the twelfth Major Arcana card in tarot pictures a man hanged upside down by one foot on a tree or a wooden beam. He has a nimbus about his head. There are leaves on the tree, which is a sign that it is living wood. We can see from the man’s face that he is in trance, not pain, as the situation might suggest. Death is the thirteenth card of the Major Arcana in tarot. It shows a skeleton knight in black armor on the white horse. He is holding a black banner with a white flower on it. There are dead and dying people from all social classes around the rider, which tells us that to death everyone is equal. In the background we can see the setting sun between the two pillars.
